Marching 4 Archie
On March 30th, 2013 family, friends, friends of friends, co-workers, teachers, and complete strangers who were touched by Archie’s story put on their trainers on and Marched 4 Archie in Canada, Scotland and England. In Canada alone we had 87 people + endless little people and family pets show up at the Hamilton Bay Front with their spring shoes and clothes on. The sun was shinning, spirits were high, everyone was happy and it was so incredibly magical to see and feel the support from so many people within the community. In Scotland 55 people ventured out onto the forth bridge with layers upon layers of clothing to do a Marchie and down in England the Thames River had 15 people Marching 4 Archie accompanied by some dedicated pooches.
Well, we did it! You raised and donated nearly $10,000 Canadian dollars for Archie!! Yes. All of you. You. Are. Awesome! To say we are grateful and thankful for all of your support, generosity, kindness and love towards Archie would be an understatement. There truly are no words and saying the words thank you just doesn’t cut it. We are so touched and for the first time since we began this journey we both have had happy tears. When we spent those weeks alone in the hospital neither one of us could see past his little face, we were so petrified that we were going to lose him. We really had no idea the challenges that we were going to face and we felt very very alone. Looking back now we know we are not alone, and seeing Archie’s face, we are aware that he is going to have many challenges but that it is okay. Archie is making us better parents, better friends and better people and has taught us the most important things in life is to be kind to one another, other people and embrace each other and the challenges that life throws at us with positivism mindfulness and love. Thank you all for being apart of our journey and for loving our little boy, it has touched our hearts in more ways than we can say. Bless all of you! Happy Tummy Time! xxoxooxooxo
A portion of the money will be going towards a very expensive special needs car seat for Archie, Conductive Education Therapy for the Mom and tot summer program, Cranial Sacral therapy for seizure treatment and private therapy. The rest will be put into a trust fund for Archie for the future for further medical costs that are not covered by OHIP.

We are so proud that our close family and friends will be Marching 4 Archie on Saturday, March 30, 2013, both in Canada/ Scotland and England.
Marching For Archie serves 2 purposes: the first will be raising funds to send his daddy, Kevan on this absolutely essential course at IAHP in Philadelphia (see our new journey for more info) so that he will be equipped with the tools to help Archie thrive; and the second will be to start early specialist treatment with Archie. I have already attended this intensive course and I walked away from it absolutely exhilarated in the knowledge that we CAN help Archie. Now Kevan, Archie’s daddy needs to attend this course as well before the treatment can begin with Archie, as both parents are required to be trained. As in most specialist fields this course is expensive – we need help to reach our target of $5000 (Canadian) to cover the costs of Kevan’s course fees and the start of treatment.
Archie is so dear to many of our family and friends around the world so even if you cannot join us on our march, we are asking for your help because we just cannot do this alone. We have been overwhelmed by the love and support that we have already received from so many of you and for that we will be eternally grateful. Archie is a severely brain-injured child. Brain injury CAN be treated, and the brain CAN grow by use, and with YOUR help we have the best opportunity to help Archie achieve his full potential.
If you are interested in participating in the walk in Canada/ Scotland or England and getting sponsors please email us on our site so we can keep track of who is walking! We are thrilled to have you be apart of our journey. To March for Archie it is $10. The Button Pushers in Hamilton have kindly offered to make buttons for everyone that is Marching, so please let us know so we can make sure everyone gets a Marching for Archie Button 🙂
** Please note, we have met a number of families along our journey who are truly an inspiration and who are also struggling financially to support their brain injured children. These children have touched our hearts in more ways than one. IF we exceed our goal of raising $5000 dollars, we plan on making a donation to these wonderful families ***
